The ever growing worldwide demand for energy pushes oil and gas producing companies to explore and exploit new oil and gas reserves in less accessible areas. Extreme environments, such as the Arctic seas, require new insights, innovative techniques and solutions for working and living conditions.

Heerema Marine Contractors invites contestants to address any aspect concerning working and living in these conditions and to come up with new ideas and solutions. The Battle specifically targets the impact on people and procedures, concerning their health, working and living conditions and safety.
